I am visiting my family out of state. At home I go to several AA meetings. Here, I just don't see it happening. No one's fault but mine. I need to figure out a way to deal with my reluctance to reach out when I am away from home. I lose perspective when I am away from my people to long and start taking my thoughts and fears to seriously.
Just needed a mini vent.

I don't suggest it as a long term solution but there are meetings online, even 24/7 at the AA site itself!

While I am a proponent of AA, I stopped attending meetings regularly after 10 years of sobriety. Now in my 17th year I haven't attended a meeting in 2 years, though if the urge returns I'll definitely go back or find some support!

Good luck making it through this. There are some online meetings and resources you could check out.
