Any advice for someone trying to get clean?

Narcotics Anonymous helped me a lot. My group kept me engaged in the process, gave me the sense of accountability to my fellow members and supported me and kept me going. Finding a group that is a right fit for you is crucial also. Some are very structured, some are more open and laid back. If the first one you go to isn't a good fit, check out a different one. There are online addict communities as well. Keep yourself engaged in the process, either in person or on line. Don't get side tracked and drift away from it. (that happened to me on my first trip through the program..the second one stuck).
