Has anyone in the group done, or are you planning to do, NANO next month? I did it years ago. The product was crap, but of course that's not the point. If anyone here is on board for 2018, I'd love to hear about it.

Agreed--I found it very motivating at a time I needed a bit of a goose to write. Most of it was garbage, but I had a great time. It did form a loose foundation/first draft for my current project.
what is NANO for the uninitiated?

@TheDoubter -- NANO is short for NaNoWriMo which is short for National Novel Writing Month. In this program writers attempt to produce a complete novel in the 30 days of November. Here is their site: [nanowrimo.org]

@Lincoln55 -- Probably a large number, but we have no way of knowing. It's on the honor system.
i love doing NANO. if i get myself together, i am lillyfield41 on there too. i haven't planned anything and really don't foresee myself having success at five words, let alone 50K this year. (I do really need to commit to it though. it's so easy once i get the momentum... i just have been a mess. 
)
