Britain’s Class War on Children

This is what poverty does. In my experience, its damage is like the damage of war; it can last a lifetime, spread to loved ones and contaminate the next generation. It stunts children, brings on a host of diseases and, as unemployed Harry Hopwood in Liverpool told me, “it’s like being in prison”.

This ones speaks to me. As a child of a single mom of 5, I was raised in poverty right here where I still live. There is more than physical damage from the lack of a healthy diet and medical care, there is the emotional tole it take on both the parents and children. That stays with you for the rest of your life, whether you get out of it or not. I will be a large guiding force in all your decisions for the rest of your life.

The US and the UK are so similar. Each has their two major parties that both hate and beat on the poor. Only the names of the parties are different. Both nations put the military budget far ahead of providing for the needs of the masses. The one difference is that in the UK most people are keenly aware of class and know exactly where they fit into the class system of their country. In the US, most people are clueless about class, or, at most, overestimate their class status if they are in the lower classes. This is thanks to the successful brainwashing and censorship of the corporate media here doing a better job on the masses than the media in the UK.

This is because they all work in collaboration for the benefit of the same power structure sharing the same agendas. You'll find the same results throughout all westernized societies who are allies for the most part.

@William_Mary But I suppose one diff between those other western countries is that their politics is not as money-dominated as the US.

@TomMcGiverin figuratively semantics. I can't tell you if they all share the same type of corruption as in the US within our funding structure. That's too much information for me to keep up with. It would be nice if more people from outside the US would chip in with their participation here. While I see they share a better sense of socialism in their societies than the US, the same agenda applies within the corporate and political relationship that effect their societies though. Some times along the lines there's cases of bribery and fraud seen. Then there's the trade factor. If you look at the recent actions between the US and Australia on the China trade interference, threat, I would imagine there's some degree of monetary benefit outlined between corporations and politicians within the country and US entities to thwart China proposals. I can easily imagine seeing Frayed Bear posting something on this in the future. Right now these vaccines are playing out another dimension of this also as politicians will be attempting to acquire as many doses for their citizens as possible. Their main concern will be taking care of their ruling class corporate elite at first, the commons that are expendable worldwide come last.
