This is a comment by "Maxwell" under an article about the latest Democratic debate on the WSWS that I'm so impressed with, it deserves it's own post.

I watched the entire thing- beyond appalling- it has little value beyond, and it was quite a resemblance to, a game show.

A few things stood out- it's a club and as Carlin said we are not in it. At the end of the day they all agreed that first and foremost Trump must be defeated (along with scary ISIS- more on that later) and they would all support one another no matter what once these sandbox squabbles are over and the Dem poobahs (uh, I mean the people) decide who is best suited to go toe to toe against the Orange-haired troglodyte.

But I did learn some things.

1. We must be careful as ISIS could reconstitute itself- you know the ISIS used by the US Security State to attack its enemies in the Middle East, the ISIS used a pretext for U.S. military intervention abroad and continued Pentagon bloat and the ISIS used to manufacture a domestic threat to justify invasive domestic surveillance;

2. Global warming is a threat (not as ominous as ISIS but what is) but not nearly as serious an issue as whether a woman can or cannot run a decaying empire- note the hard 180 the moderator forced on the show when Steyer was going off the Rez and talking extemporaneously on global warming- the insipid moderator quickly put the brakes on that and forced the discussion to the Bernie-ing (couldn't resist) question on everyone's lips- "Did Bern really say that to Liz, who BTW is a woman?" At that point we must ask if there is any cosmic justice at all, for if there were wouldn't that gigantic Monty Python foot have dropped down from the heavens and squished the moderator while g_d himself tells Steyer to resume;

3. Corporations suck and we gotta slap some regs on these bandits. Dang and all this time I had this uneasy feeling that something smelt a bit fishy in Denmark and now I know. All of the candied dates agreed on this and are primed to do something about it. Certainly we should feel the benefits of this soon as our drug prices go down to keep pace with sinking wages;

4. Universal health care is not possible- there is no money for this- the realists and Pentagon types understand this. Crazy dreamers think that just cause the rest of the world has health care that the world's "wealthiest nation" (belly laugh time) can afford this kind of luxury? Despite all the studies that show that Amerika could afford single-payer we must remember that those Insura/Pharmacorps- which remember it was agreed upon all suck- still need their share- and your share- to keep their shares rising. As citizens of Capitalist America Inc. according to Blue Team fascist Bottygig we should be honored to pay for insurance- in fact it is our goosestepin' duty to bleed and be bled in this hollowed out demockra-see;

5. Joe Biden is not a real person. This is a wax figurine molded after the DC political prototype. Duly noted was the bad design job done in the mouth area disallowing the lips to properly separate at a distance that allows for enunciation. Often the puppeteer neglected to turn on the brain light and cognitive functions seemed to wane even as those snaky eyes and tight lips slyly slipped out slurry esses and wayward words;

6. Everyone's my friend and everyone is their friend and your friend and the Big Tent yeah let's go- we're all Democrats after all. Oh, okay Kloobychair showed us the depth of these friendships with these Beltway vultures when she cited her "good friend" from Kansas old, uh, "What's her name, uh, let me look down at my notes, um yeah Governor girlfriend- I'm so proud of her- you betcha we're best of friends, just can't remember her name."

Oh and the wars...
