By your logic we then could chop you up and eat you.

What you are is a first hand dick. So maybe that is what you eat. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Bon appetit! ☺

People are always looking for ways to justify their actions. This is just another example.

Recently, I heard an interesting comment about B-12. B-12 is one supplement that vegetarians need to take. However, animals do not make B-12 it comes from DIRT. Animals eat dirt and some eat animals (too many) so that's how we get B-12. We just need to eat more dirt.

It’s in mushrooms, which often come dusted with an extra dusting of the brown goodness you speak of 😉

@girlwithsmiles Interesting, so mushroom growers get a double income, one for the plant and one for the B-12 bloom.

The B12 is in the mushrooms too, but the soul is often on them too isn’t it. I don’t like it’s crunch and prefer to just eat the mushrooms myself 😉

@girlwithsmiles It would be interesting to see how it is grown and processed.

@JackPedigo In the uk mushrooms tend to be grown in big tunnels. After a while they sell the compost used to the public, my mother brought some, and mushrooms just stared coming up, it was great.
My brother worked in a mushroom farm for a while, the tunnels are kept dark for the most part I believe.

@girlwithsmiles Mushrooms are very interesting. This time of year they are all over the ground here. Different shapes, colors and sizes. A neighbor has them all along her long driveway and she feels guilty when she drives over them.

@JackPedigo Owh, that would be a tough one, yes I try my hardest not to damage them too. There’s a big brown one on my way to work that’s been there for at least a week, rain and shine.

@girlwithsmiles There is a large group in the area known as the Mountaineers. It is the 2nd largest outdoor/environmental group in the US after the Sierra Club. I went on 2 weekend trips with them (they have 5 rustic ski lodges in the mountains) on mushrooms. A lot of people attended including a group from the local mycological club. The number, colors, sizes and shapes of mushrooms collected was amazing. We made a meal from some of the edibles and someone brought out some cloth swatches with colors gotten from the mushrooms. Since those trips I notice and appreciate mushrooms a lot more.

@JackPedigo sounds fab, my friend Jenny was so passionate about them I got the bug too.

So why are you posting here? There are comedy groups on the site where you can make jokes.
I am also not vegetarian, but once i a while there are some nice ideas in this group that I like to incorporate in my life, maybe lower the meat consumption and add more variety of flavors in my meals

I’m allergic to eggs and dairy and don’t eat much meat. I’m in full support of the vegan revolution, my diet is much more varied now.

That's not very nice to be posting this in a vegetarian group...
