I taught many years at a private school where my kids went on scholarship- even before I was hired. I have also read much in teaching and about the many forms thereof. Pretty simply, kids who go to schools with small classrooms do better - even in public schools. So, class size is most important. As far as rich people doing better - they do. They have lots of advantages others don't. Even top notch students who come from poorer homes do not rise as far, on average, as just average rich students.
