I had (very) close relatives that told me I was going to hell, before I ever became an agnostic...when I questioned the real Jesus and other ideas. Actually, I was always questioning...which lost me friends and family. Once (but not the only time she told that I was going to hell.) my oldest granddaughter and her self-appointed preacher husband attempted to verbally attack me (and save my soul at the same time) over a story that I told my g-granddaughter! That...Jesus if he existed, inspired people, and did not perform miracles like reported in the Bible! It was a terrible sight and I hope one day the memory of what they put me through, comes clear (as it should) about how their actions were so hurtful.

As a parent, I would insist that she start someplace else, even other Christian Colleges are not as right winged as this one. After a year or two, if she still insist on Oral Roberts, then permit her to go there. She would need to visit the other schools, but it would be worth it! After all if you are paying...then you should have some say (don’t just take over).

About my 2 previous post...my sadness got worse as I relived again, how I was not helpful to my sister. I was 15 months older, but she was a crying needy child and at an early age would cuss frequently...and I wanted to be better than that, as I already had learned at an early age that our reputation was not that great! So I kept at a distance, emotionally and even physically. I somehow avoided her...where I learned that I can not understand. I did try and help her in later years, by then so much damage had been done. But, it still hurts so deeply!
