Willing to relocate anywhere is a huge red flag! How many adults are willing or able to move across the country? Claims to live nearby but working in Africa, or other foreign locale. Is a buyer of gems or other luxury items.
HippieChick58 replies on Jan 25, 2019:
@Stephanie99 I live in Omaha, NE. It's a good size city but not huge. Gem buyers travel to exotic places fairly frequently, being here in the middle of the US makes travel much more complicated. And we don't have the population to support that kind of business. For me, when someone says they're a gem buyer and live in Omaha, all I can say is dream on.

Whereas you're not wrong, I occasionally coach younger women about finding and owning their voice. At my last job, I was working with my senior, she typed up an email and it was fine, but I pointed out she was using "soft" language, sort of an "If you don't mind" message. I pointed out she was a spokesman for the company, the information was expected from that person and needed for us to do our jobs for the benefit of her employee, it was not negotiable that the information be sent. I suggested she keep it friendly but more to the point and less hesitant. I am in my 60s, this young woman in her 30s. Women are conditioned to be soft, told to be nice. You have to be aware of what you're doing before you can change it. Many women are unaware of how they come across.

I friended her on FB after I left the company. She's married to a white dude, they are devout Drumpf supporters, conservative xians. I was blown away by the stuff that she posted on FB, and she and her spouse were not too thrilled with things they were seeing that I posted. I felt like I needed a shower after seeing some of her stuff. I unfollowed her, probably should unfriend, it just changed everything.

HippieChick58 replies on Jan 16, 2019:
Don't you know? The gays want to make all of us gay! We're going to be one big happy gay family. Like it is contagious or something. There is no Gay Agenda. From Wikipedia: Homosexual agenda (or gay agenda) is a term introduced by sectors of the Christian religious right (primarily in the United States) as a disparaging way to describe the advocacy of cultural acceptance and normalization of non-heterosexual orientations and relationships. The term refers to efforts to change government policies and laws on LGBT rights-related issues. Additionally, it has been used by social conservatives and others to describe alleged goals of LGBT rights activists, such as recruiting heterosexuals into what they term a "homosexual lifestyle".[1]
