Her parents were out of town, and she was born in an ER about 50 miles from home and is still in the NICU in that hospital. Found out today that one of my kids has tested positive. Her partner tested negative, they live together so I'm not sure how that came to be. Daughter still has her sense of smell and no symptoms at all. She got another test today, we're hoping it was false positive. The Rt Live index was looking better, but today it has lost much of the gains it had made. Damn Trump.

I did a king size once, that is just too big and bulky to do easily. I've done a few queens, even those are challenging. I don't forsee anything large in the near future, I'm concentrating on smaller pieces now just to use up some of the fabric stash. I've been on FB for 13 years, I joined as a college student when it was only open to college students. (yes, I was a non-traditional college student.) I cannot count all the changes I've seen. My daughter gave birth a month early out of town on Boxing day. Baby Lydia is in the NICU about 50 miles from home. My oldest granddaughter was born Christmas day 2016. When I think of these little girls, and what we will tell them about the world in the beginning of their lives, it just blows me away. This is such an aberration of the history of the US, and we MUST learn from it, this can never be repeated. And our only hope is to educate this generation coming up. My daughters and I will dedicate our lives to teaching these children how life should be, how it can be. They will be educated, informed citizens. They are our only hope.

There are many in government positions that if they were on fire and I had to pee, I'd walk a mile or two to the nearest outhouse and pee there. It isn't being "nice" per se. For women we've been taught to "be nice" all our lives to avoid upsetting the status quo. The status quo sucks, and I'm done playing nice. I believe that "people are ____. And anything that you can fit in any blank, you will find that people are. I will deal with them as they deal with me, but I will always try for kindness. When I can't be kind I will disengage. If they take up too much of my mental space I will cut the contact. I don't think I am any less nice than I ever haver been, but I think I have much more backbone, and much more awareness of my boundaries and what I am and am not willing to tolerate. I won't let the assholes tear me down to their level.

I am too selfish to do this- but I should spend this day not eating.

I work for an insurance company that deals with Medicare Supplements. This is our BUSY season, which is why I have job with them. IF you are changing Medicare Advantage December 7th was the deadline. IF you are changing supplements you can do that all year. I found a sure cure for TV commercials. I turned off cable TV. I turned off all TV except for my Roku. Usually I watch DVDs on my laptop, but when the grands come over we watch Netflix or Amazon Prime. While doing my job I have discovered the down side of not watching network TV. I no long see the ads. I don't know what medications are being pushed heavily now, and how to pronounce them. But I turned off cable 5 years ago, I have no desire to turn it back on.
