My cats are pretty good at either keeping quiet or keeping me company at night. If they're not in the bedroom I don't hear them. If they are in the bedroom and I hear them they are soon shut out of the bedroom.

Oh s--t. My daughter was at a 4th of July celebration hosted by her best friend who has a 3 month old baby. Baby's daddy's parents just returned from a Florida vacation, and of course they are good Repubs, so no mask and they were at the party. My daughter was seeing red that they would be so careless around the baby and other guests, but the hostess seemed to have no issues with it. My daughter knew the risk (but not about the grandparents) and she arranged with her dad and me to skip grocery delivery for a week so she can isolate for a while. My ex is a good repub also, but he is way way germ phobic so he embraces the mask and social distancing. I am not regretting not going in to an office every day right now.

I have kids that are grown now, and I'm a grandmother. I have great kids, but I knew I always wanted kids. I enjoyed the kids, enjoyed teaching them stuff and exploring new stuff with them. The best part is now they have made me a grandmother, which is more than delightful. The biology is way cool too. Every egg that my daughters have in their ovaries was formed when they were forming in me. Therefore having all daughters, all my grandchildren actually got their start in me! As I was started in my grandmother. Which is also why I believe matriarchy is far more natural than patriarchy. Maternity is easy to determine, paternity not so much.

I haven't looked at nearby members in a while, mostly because I live so far out.

I would like to ask some of my neighbors how much they spent on fireworks, and how much they make per hour, and if the trade off was worth it. Some of those families must have spent hundreds of dollars on fireworks, to set all that money on fire in about an hour. However, when the grands start staying up for fireworks, I'll be out there with them. Last night I was at the granddaughter's house, she is three. She pitched a fit, got put to bed early, and slept all through the neighbor's fireworks. I wish I could sleep through fireworks.

This is good information. I almost always have Benadryl around as I have hay fever, dust allergies, and pet allergies. Benadryl if often the active ingredient in medications to help you sleep, so I keep it for both purposes. Not only can I breathe again, but I get some good sleep. I am glad your worker made a complete recovery, and really glad you have a hospital reasonably near.

Yeah, I feel sorry for gym owners right now. I enjoyed working out at the gym and went faithfully for a long time. Then I got a full time job and that ended but I kept my membership because I really wanted to go back. Now that I have the time again, there is NO WAY I am going into an enclosed area where lots of people are breathing heavily and sweating. I canceled the membership just a few months ago when I realized even if I had the time I wouldn't go. And now I have the time, and it is too hot to walk outside, I really wish I could go, however the risk is far too great.
