I don't think I've had any visitors to my home yet this year. Middle daughter hasn't brought groceries for two weeks after she had a positive covid test after Xmas. She has tested negative twice since then, so I will see her on Wednesday. And on Wednesday I get to be the visitor, I get to meet my newest granddaughter at her home. She was due at the end of January, and arrived on Boxing day quite unexpectedly. She is doing well, but very high maintenance at the moment.

I feel your pain. I gave up on those extended family members that are only related by blood. We don't share much else in common and seriously they're morons. A group email was sent several months ago and the author, one of the older cousins wondered why "Aunt Minnie's kids weren't more involved." Being one of those said kids, I unloaded on him in a reply all. I got a few apologies, and a few comments from the cousins close to my age that yes the older cousins are morons. I'm off the email list, which was my objective. My mom was 7th out of 9, and I was the 26th out of 30 grandchildren. The older cousins seem to be conservative xian and Trump supporters, everything I am NOT. Life is just too short to have to deal with that.

Daughter still has her sense of smell and no symptoms at all. She got another test today, we're hoping it was false positive. My daughter gave birth a month early out of town on Boxing day. Baby Lydia is in the NICU about 50 miles from home. My oldest granddaughter was born Christmas day 2016. When I think of these little girls, and what we will tell them about the world in the beginning of their lives, it just blows me away. This is such an aberration of the history of the US, and we MUST learn from it, this can never be repeated. And our only hope is to educate this generation coming up. My daughters and I will dedicate our lives to teaching these children how life should be, how it can be. They will be educated, informed citizens. They are our only hope.
