LenHazell53 comments on Apr 11, 2020:
Trump has constantly self abnegated himself from all responsibility for the state of this crisis in the USA, and recently has been completely ignoring the whole idea of the "United" states Federal government, and has foisted off responsibilities for action and inaction on to state governors and city mayors, refusing to step up and blaming them for not doing so. He has in effect broken the union, ended the federation and declared all 50 states simple oblasts of the Washington DC empire, obligated to pay tribute to the God Emperor Trump with no obligation upon his part to reciprocate. Depending upon how this situation plays out, depending upon the consequences, the death toll and just how much comes to light in the aftermath, it could well lead too the end of the USA as is. There maybe demands to seal off states, there may be demands to secede from the union, claims of negligence and even crimes against humanity. One thing is for certain Trump himself will carry not only the shame of his impeachment, but the same of abandoning his own people for the rest of his life.

My Paternal Grandfather was Jewish and it is called passover because the angel of death "Passed over" the houses whose door post were painted with the blood of a lamb and so were spared the death of the first born. The whole story of the plagues is screwed up, because as the Torah admits GOD hardened the heart of the pharaoh so that he would not let the Jews go free no matter how many plagues where visited on Egypt until the death of the first born. SO god was on the one hand demanding the release of "his" People and punishing the Egyptians for NOT letting them go, while at the same time forcing their King to defy him and bring about more plagues. Even after the plague of the first born, gawd again hardened the heart of pharaoh and sent him after the Jews just so god could kill them too by drowning them in the red sea. This is the Torah's version of a loving god and responsible actions by same.

HALITOSIS.
LenHazell53 comments on Apr 8, 2020:
The word was actually invented for a marketing campaign for Listerine. The product had been sold as a floor cleaner, an astringent and an antiseptic but never really caught on, however while staying at a hotel in the late 1800s Joseph Lawrence the inventor of the product was so taken aback with the bad breath of a Bell boy he suggest the lad gargle with it. The result was amazing and the chap begged for a supply saying people suddenly wanted to talk to him and be around him. Lawrence thus invented the "medical" term Halitosis as a sickness for his product to cure and became rich. It is a silly word for a number of reasons Firstly it is a hybrid word Halitus being Latin and Ptosis being Greek. and Ptosis are are weaknesses in medicine as the word means to fall and are applied to ""abnormal lowering or prolapse of an organ or body part." nothing to do with smelly breath. finally Lawrence deliberately spelled it wrong to avoid the mispronunciation.

Why is this app called “Agnostic”?
LenHazell53 comments on Apr 6, 2020:
Though Gnostic in Greek does literally mean Knowledge or insight, the word itself in English common parlance has come to mean Certainty. The gnostics like so many other sects believed themselves to be the only ones with the utter certain truth of the gospels. The Cathars were also known as the truth tellers, or goodmen sothere is perhaps a case for a colloquial understanding of agnostic as meaning "uncertain" rather than without knowledge. It is one of the reason I dislike the word, the atheist is without god(s) because there is no good reason to align with the presupposition that there is a god(s) while the agnostic seems to cling to the idea that "absence of evidence does not mean there is an evidence of absence" instead of deferring to the default position that absence of evidence indicates an acceptable probability of absence.

It is interesting that in the original Hebrew Cain and Abel are not names, they are titles Able means **The Breath** and Cain means ** the spear.** So in effect the children of the Adam (the red earth) and Eve (the giver of life) are life and death . I suppose there is some clumsy symbolism here.

Therefore to err on the side of caution I would have to say if one form of worship is not essential than ALL forms of worship must fall under the same judgment. To compare weed and alchol to religion is a complete false dicotomy not least because both substances can be proven to exist. Now if "God" were to appear in person and assure the safety of public worship himself, and guarantee that those attending such worship could neither contract nor pass on the virus, that would be another matter entirely, but so far he(she or it) seems to be conspicuous by absence
