What surprised me this year was the pandemic and thinking that never in my life I would have thought that we would never go through something like this. I learned that my family is very important to me and I don't want to be far away from them, my mom was diagnosed with cancer and is going through chemo, it's something to see her going through different effects each day and still pulling through, I feel it changing me, more so her. I'm not the same person I was last year and I'm hoping for a better year in 2021.

The city I live in, we have two separate bins. One for trash and the other for recyclables. I use one of my counters in my kitchen for empty water bottles, soda cans, beer cans, paper and cardboard. I take those items out to the recycling bin when I run out of room on my counter. The city used to pick up every week but with the spikes of covid here has halted that because all of their employees tested positive for it. They will begin again in the new year, as of now the city said we can drive to the recycling center and leave the items there.
