I almost stopped watching when he said....without any clear proof...that the "Universe is rushing away from us" or "expanding". I think this is an illusion. I've poured over the proofs...I don't buy them. We can see "two trillion galaxies" but that's only the galaxies that were born within the range of light that we can see. They talked about raising the body's heat but they didn't go in to specifics; could it be a pill? a vaccine? An intravenous application? Not clear. But Let me say this about Obesity. It's an epidemic; and something needs to be done to help those lost in the addiction. I'm not confident that turning off the body's heat control/boosting heat production is the answer. What is clear is that obesity comes from forming dietary habits before we humans can walk and talk. Infants are fed what parents deem "comfort food"...or food that calms their child down. This in turn becomes solidly addictive...very likely for life. Breaking these habits are harder than breaking drug addictions; but if we can't figure out a way to do this then we will have more diabetes, more Cardio-vascular diet-induced illness, more obesity and shorter lives. Note. I mean no insult or disrespect in noting this; although I know some will take offense. Please don't do that. Know that it's my intention to help you find a way...besides IV or drugs....to solve your obesity. It was my problem for a while in my life, as well. The "rich" have an interesting history. Many rich got it from clever family members who led the way. It's often exploitive in a way; Either with weapons, or religion, or energy, or technology. In ancient times it was those who used brut power to kill many early and organize clusters of friends to help him. It was almost always a "him"....it was the brute strength and the risqué nature of males who became wealthy. We are gathered here because we're agnostic....but it's clear to most of us that organizing a religion had its' profit motives as well. Most of us abhor the outrageous wealth of "the church". For centuries the richest were those who first came up with a stronger metal for weapons, a better cannon, a better machine gun, a better gun-powder. From the early Hittites who invented steel weapons to the Gattlin machine gun....history is littered with those who profited from wars. Wasn't it Alfred Nobel who invented T.N.T. - or was it gunpowder? It was only a few hundred years ago when it was those who figured out how to use/mine/ship coal, then oil instead of wood and, in the past few centuries, whale oils.. At first to light lamps - but then to fuel homes and factories. Edison and others perfected electrical transmission and use to run factories, and light streets and homes...and got rich doing so. Recently (100 years ago) it was those who put together transportation tricks (railroads, car makers, plane makers). Rockefeller and Flagler come to mind. Very recently (the last 20-30 years) it's been the tech wizards (Apple, IBM, computers, phones) and the food and/or sales/services distributors like the Waltons, (Walmart), Bezos (Amazon) and the Home Depot creators have been rewarded for their skills. Kudos to the creators of Wind energy, Electric cars, and electric storage - those getting rich in this area are also doing things to reduce the environmental impact of the previous inventors. Elon Musk comess to mind. These folks are getting rich - but they might be saving our species from extinction. Being a bit of a futurist, I'll venture a guess in to those who get rich in the future will figure out ways to recycle profitably, those who figure out good ways to get energy from waves and tides, and those who figure out the ways to produce mass transport that's totally not fuel-dependent.
