Actually, we walked in whatever the weather was because we usually didn't have a car and we wouldn't want to be spotted by the cops parked out in front of the biker clubhouse so our license plate number could be taken down and filed. We walked so we could split up and cut through backyards if the narcs tried to grab us and because it was worth it because the bikers liked us and gave us a fair cut of good pot.

People for the most part are a bunch of Baboons who can go piss up a rope as far as I am concerned. They make up imaginary friends to support the most heinous behavior imaginable and then call themselves civilized. They can all go fuck themselves in my humble opinion, in general and for the most part I limit my contact with these savage monkeys.
I am definitely behind the times!

How do my fellow Atheists deal with depression?
Surfpirate comments on Dec 27, 2019:
Depends what the cause is of the depression, sometimes it is health related or seasonal or stress related. Meditation and laying out an action plan can help to overcome the stress related version, often we find we aren't as bad off as we imagine. A regular walk is helpful as exercise helps with depression. Sun tanning beds help in the winter as well as supplementing with Vitamin D and there are special lamps you can buy for S.A.D. type depression. One thing I do not do is pray to an imaginary friend in the sky who doesn't like masturbation or shrimp because that would really be depressing.
Happy day after Ho Ho Ho day.

If their God is their Father then it would appear that he is a mean son of a bitch who must be appeased by offerings and if those offerings must be virginal then that adds a whole other incestuous aspect to the appeasement. God the all powerful monster who must be appeased and has no restraints of love. Incredible that people choose to believe in such a hateful and heartless monster as their creator, maybe it is just a reflection of their inner selves?

Why Some Men Still Dress Like They’re 16
Surfpirate comments on Dec 17, 2019:
As an ex-clothes horse I am disappointed that you rarely see a man in a bespoke suit and many tailors and haberdashery shops have gone the way of the dodo. :( Even a new, clean pair of jeans, boots with fresh polish and a polo shirt seem to be considered overdressed these days and I think it is a shame. On the flip side, seeing women in their prime or past it for that matter dressing like teeny boppers is also disappointing and unsettling. Dressing like a kid does not make a woman look younger, it just makes her look silly.
What are your thoughts on home schooling?
Surfpirate comments on Dec 17, 2019:
I think that education is about indoctrination and programming of children to become obedient workers for the power elites who do not send their kids to government schools and do not do home schooling. Home schooling is largely about religious types wanting more control over the indoctrination and programming of their children to conform to religious doctrine but there are some parents that want to keep their kids from getting programmed as obedient workers in the public system and cannot afford the private school system and I understand the need for this if the parents are capable of providing an effective education for their kids.

I would say that 1,000 active users is an understatement, for every person that posts there are a dozen more who just like to read the posts and occasionally react with a like or a smiley face. If the Crazy Christians have so much to say then perhaps it is because they are so thoroughly confused about everything in the first place. Letting Crazy Christians run amok on our site might stir things up but not in a good way, let them blather amongst themselves, I for one do not need to hear it.

Studies have shown that we dream, to some degree, every night. What we don't do every morning is remember our dreams but there are steps you can take to help yourself remember your dreams before you are fully awake. It takes a bit of practice but it does work.
recurring dreams are interesting, and are a challenge to some theories of how we dream.
Surfpirate comments on Dec 8, 2019:
Dream symbolism is an imprecise field of study but there are many books on the topic, perhaps there will be some direction provide there? Many recurring dreams occur when the dreamer is experiencing the same set of feelings each time in their waking life and it spills over into the recurring dream, perhaps your subconscious mind is trying to help you work out the issues causing these feeling in your waking life by using symbolism in your dream world.

I don't encounter perfume the way I used to now that there are all these scent free zones in public places. Usually when I do walk by someone wearing a fragrance it is an elderly woman who is wearing too much of something lavender which I find cloying but the other day a middle aged woman walked past me in the mall and she had just the faintest scent and it turned my head, maybe Sandalwood or Chyphre? I find there are too many zealots about practically everything and anything these days.

I and my wife have done this job many times over the years but not this year, we are just too bus with our new electric bike company to find the time this time around. You basically get one of two jobs, poling clerk or returning officer and it is very important to stay on top of things early on because you have to match your count of people who voted against those same number of ballots issued, otherwise you will be doing a lot of recounting. Learn the rules about scrutineers as some of the party faithful tend to be a pain in the butt but usually they are fine so long as you know the rules. Voting is one of the few truly democratic rights that we have so it is a trust that must not be betrayed. People already have the feeling that their vote no longer counts, having a bad experience at the polls only strengthens that opinion and make it less likely that they will vote next time, the pay is crap but the job is so important.

One of the last times I was an 'employee' I had a sliding scale commission rate with a production home builder and it escalated after a certain point that made it very attractive in order to get more sales. I'm a workaholic by nature so I maxxed out the program to the point that the top brass went from loving me to hating me because I was now making more than they were which put their noses out of joint to the point that they tried to renege on the deal. At the next sales meeting I arrived wearing their main competitor's polo shirt with crest, we cut a deal, they paid and I agreed not to go on a vendetta to bury them. Some people are just too small and petty to honor a deal or honor your contribution - until they lose you to the competition.

ISN’T THE BIGGEST THREAT TO THE CREDIBILITY OF CHRIST, HIS EMBRACING OLD TESTAMENT TEACHINGS?
Surfpirate comments on Sep 11, 2019:
Religious books are just story books, they change over time to suit the needs of the powerful so of course the Old Testament has been kept in the Bible. Jesus is just a character in the story book for Christians, that's why he can be black or white or even a bit jewish looking, although is quite infrequent as who on earth would want to worship a guy who looked jewish as their savior, certainly not the Christian Right. lol It is much easier to manipulate the majority of the population into doing cruel and heinous acts like war and oppression and sexism if you keep around texts from the Bronze Age like the Old Testament. As for Jesus, well he's just like any other imaginary friend - hopefully you outgrow them and learn to stand on your own two feet like an adult.

Surfpirate comments on Aug 24, 2019:
I'm one of those shit kickin, ass whuppin, take no shit kinda Empaths - I learned how to shield up as a kid but it still leaves me rattled after the fact and the adrenalin wears off. I had a run in today with a knuckle dragger that came tearing through our business parking lot, dropped off his wife and then turned around for another pass - NOT HAVING IT! - stepped out and blocked his path, then came up to his window and asked him what he thought he was doing tearing through my place of business. Several snappy retorts later I told him to leave the premises and never come back - 6 hours later and it still makes my blood boil - we came very close to blows but I stopped lying down and taking it many, many years ago. Nope If there was a god and it was the god depicted in the various world religions, would I want to worship it? Hell No! Conclusion: I think I will carry on my merry way, do my best to ignore and/or avoid the crazy people with their assorted imaginary friends and just do my best to live a full and happy life. For the most part this seems to work but damn there are some Crazy MOFO's out there with even crazier imaginary friends telling them it is just find to do all sorts of heinous things.
In this case, smell too!
