Have you had monkfish? It has been many years for me. When I had lived in Pennsylvania it was reasonably priced. I had looked for it in California when I was there it was as expensive as lobster.

@Justjoni To make sushi safe the fish has to go through a deeper freeze than the normal freezer. To eat sushi that has not been treated in a deep freeze is very dangerous parasite would for sure cause many problems.

@DianaGuarino Had seen a documentary on them some time back they did not differentiate between the spices. Was about how their habitat is invaded and they are hurt by boats. So sad that such a majestic animal has to suffer.

To me, Salmon is best as lox. I have tried salmon jerky and dried salmon it must be an acquired taste dried because to me it tasted a lot like iodine smells.

I used these a lot when I was in my 20 `s made my hands very strong. When I was in Guam we would often find fallen coconuts with the husk still on. @SpikeTalon Something humorous I remember about New Jersey They need to control the deer population this was years back. Think they would have encouraged hunting that did not happen. They hired 1 solitary guy his job was to go out tranquilize the female deer and sterilize them. That is government hard at work trying to solve a massive problem with 1 guy.
