I'm a 66-year-old cancer patient, but improving. I attend Albuquerque events such as the New Mexico State Fair, and hike several miles a day.

I have previously mostly dated men, but I'm more oriented toward having a fun woman partner who matches my interests and background.

I don't currently own horses or go dancing, but I still do bird and wildlife photography, jam on the piano, write, make new inventions, read, go hiking, design and sew my own clothes and undergarments, do art, love to keep current on physics and astronomy feeds.

I'm a partial transmale (identify in some section of my mind as a male) and a demi-sexual (no sexual attraction for any gender or person until after a prolonged relationship of over a year..

Hi, Vintagejan, and welcome to the website! By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve, so here's some info, in case you need it. For members who are open to dating, certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible others are with them. You gain website points by uploading a recent photo of your face, answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns website points, and helps other members get to know you. Commenting on posts and writing your own posts earns more points. At level two you can private message people, and at level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt. If you want to date, the website uses profile algorithms to find member matches, so the more details one includes, the better the match. Many people prefer to see a written profile talking about interests, hobbies, and backgrounds that can be quickly perused to find others with similar interests.. In case you didn't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Browse" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters. Click on the "Discuss" button, then "Nearby" to find members near you also. Or click on the "About" button at the top left of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial. Points are now being given to level 3+ members who chat. You can see chat rooms on the group main page.

In my case, it wasn't anything scandalous..I came out as a partial transmale without a sexual orientation (demisexual) to my siblings in 2014, as soon as I realized it, but they didn't even comment. Then, this year, I came out as an agnostic, and one of them made a weak attempt at trying to change my mind, but since she's a liberal and doesn't even attend church, I just laughed it off. But then three of my siblings came out as Trump supporters and I defriended/blocked them and haven't contacted them since.

I don't remember any band music numbers. My junior year I attended the Port-au-Prince, Haiti, diplomat school and they didn't have a band. My freshman year I was the only one in my grade, in our tiny Haiti mission school. I didn't attend senior year because I already had all my high school credits done, so after a year, I flew to the US for college, at 17.
How many of you have lost family or friends because of tRump?
birdingnut comments on Sep 26, 2018:
I didn't lose" them..I dumped them myself. I distanced myself, defriending/deleting/blocking anyone, friend or relative, who declared themselves Trump supporters or who posted racist or overtly Christian memes. I have no use for friends or relatives who think taking children away from parents and locking them in cages, removing legal rights for LGBTQ people and minorities, or sexually assaulting women, is a good idea.

That would be true justice, but the church is politically entrenched, not to mention they have brainwashed hoards still obeying them due to fear of hell, so difficult to do.

birdingnut comments on Sep 26, 2018:
Yes, we have free will in what we understand. If we've grown up in a certain mindset, we wouldn't even realize that's what we've been trained to believe a certain way, or that things could be different. For example, studies show that people's financial status mindsets are set in early childhood and are highly resistant to change. That's why the rich almost always grow richer, while the poor usually stay poor, even if they win the lottery.

Simple..unplug the TV and put it in a back room whenever you are done watching something. If you have to bother to set up the TV each time you hanker for a show, you might just decide to walk the dog instead. If you don't have a dog, get the shelter and adopt a calm, friendly, cute one..it will give you an excuse to exercise and dogs can be great chick magnets. In my 20s, I was getting such severe flus in the winter, I was worried, plus I kept getting ear infections, yeast infections, my joints were stiffening, and my heart would often flutter. Then I got so sick I almost died. So I pulled myself together, dumped red meat, white flour, white sugar, most processed food, and switched to whole, organic food. After I'd gone through detox for a couple weeks, hacking up stuff from my lungs due to eating meat, I suddenly had a surge of energy and had double my stamina when jogging. Also, I never had colds, flu, ear or yeast infections again, and I'm 66 years old. Still, eating a clove or two of fresh raw garlic at bedtime will break up congestion and help your immune system fight back.

Yes, small amounts of St. John's wort helps, but is a blood thinner and might give you a nosebleed if you take too much. Also 5-htp, which is cheap, and both herbs are found at WalMart. Derris scandens, a back pain herb from Thailand, but sold in capsules on Amazon, also calms the nerves. In my case it sharpens my vision, increases my tolerance for the sun, reduces or deletes dyslexia symptoms, sharpens my memory, and blended my gender fluid mind, relieving extreme dysphoria. I'm not sure how it affects other people, however. It's cheap so might be worth a try for someone with those issues. Effective things to relieve depression and panic attacks: Taking an early morning walk resets your thyroid for more energy and better mood. Taking CBD oil, found in most health food stores, relieves anxiety, panic attacks and depressoin. Link: A 2015 study concluded that CBD oil treats numerous forms of anxiety, including social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Cannabidiol not only made participants feel better but also changed the way their brains responded to anxiety. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/319622.php

Hi, Jgb, and welcome to the website! By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve, so here's some info, in case you need it. For members who are open to dating, certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible others are with them. You gain website points by answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns website points, and helps other members get to know you. Mind numbing sex - what's your secret?
birdingnut comments on Sep 25, 2018:
Most cis hetero men are hard-wired to do "rabbit sex" since that's usually all cis hetero women will tolerate. No frills, reach orgasm quickly before she changes her mind. Mind-numbingly boring, even if they "work hard" trying to make the woman orgasm, since it's obvious they don't enjoy it, so I just faked it. I didn't know what was possible until later in life when I met men who were more than cis hetero; ones with enough feminine traits that they knew what sex was for..leisurely pleasure, fantasy, costumes, mild S & M, and play props..not just the quickest A to Z orgasm possible. I will block anyone who trolls me or rushes in to argue, since most cis hetero people have no idea what they're missing, and don't seem to care. They just do the motions, reach orgasm, check off that box, and call it a win. At least all the people I knew were that way, including women.

Opposite beliefs in a relationship
birdingnut comments on Sep 24, 2018:
I'm the wrong person to ask. I would tell him my beliefs, clearly, just once. Then, after that, do what I always do to religious wing nuts..ignore him completely unless he is speaking on neutral subjects. If he starts to lecture me, I'd mumble "Um-hum..that's nice," and leave the room. Or leave the house completely. This quickly trains people to avoid religion. If he asks me why I don't want to attend a religious event, I'd say, one time, "That's your thing, not mine." then leave the room, and ignore him if he brings it up again.

I love them as well. My daughter used to keep a pet rough green snake coiled around her pigtail while doing her home school work. In the 1980s-90s, I'd catch wild snakes during my hikes and bring them home for the kids to keep for a few weeks, then set them free where I found them. Some snakes, though, stayed most of the summer and my son had one especially loving eastern king snake for two years. Rough green snakes, black rat snakes, eastern king snakes, and eastern hog-nosed snakes were their favorites, and are calm, friendly species. We'd feed most of them white mice.

Can't stand constantly barking, hyper little dogs
birdingnut comments on Sep 24, 2018:
They don't train their dogs because 1. They don't know how 2. They're lazy. It's easier to ignore it and blame someone else for their dog's bad behavior 3. Their dogs are inbred nut cases, too berserk to be easily trained at all. 4. They don't care about wildlife, and think everyone loves their pets despite abundance evidence to the contrary. Like people are about their obnoxious children. 5. I don't even consider men who have obnoxious dogs they allow to run their lives. I make exceptions for calm, dignified animals, like the beautiful German pointer owned by a man I dated one summer. I mostly dated him because he had a speed boat, and we lived near Cave Run Lake.. 6. Irony..I had five dogs..mostly rescues dumped on my farm. All were highly trained and obedient. I could hike with them off leash and they were trained to walk single file a certain distance behind me, and to sink silently into the grass the instant I raised my birding camera. If I stopped to climb a tree, which I did daily as a cheap climbing wall substitute, one hand signal and they all lay on the ground and didn't move until I came down the tree. Pics: My toy fox terrier, a rescue wheaten terrier mix, a rescue chow mix waiting under an oak tree while I climb it, with my hand-raised mitred conure parrot allowed to play in the branches as well.

What is your personality type?
birdingnut comments on Sep 24, 2018:
The myers-briggs was debunked years ago. The popular Myers-Briggs personality test is a joke, writes Vox's Joseph Stromberg. While it might be a fun way to pass the time, he says, it has about as much insight and validity as a Buzzfeed quiz. "Several analyses have shown the test is totally ineffective at predicting people's success in various jobs, and that about half of the people who take it twice get different results each time," Stromberg writes. Stromberg says one of the key flaws to the test is that it relies on "limited binaries". Most humans, he says, fall along a spectrum and are not easily classified into opposite choices. People aren't exclusively extroverts or introverts - and where they fall on the spectrum can fluctuate widely based on how they are feeling at the moment. https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-28315137
