Balancing the arts and the sciences, recently got a PhD in music, but a firm advocate for evidence-based reasoning. I teach my students to respect the wisdom of those who went before, but also to grow through the collective consciousness of contemporary interconnectedness. In the current COVID-19 pandemic, it is this interconnectedness that is coming to the fore, drawing even a conservative government in Australia kicking and screaming towards collectivism.
