A lot will depend on what the SC rules after the hearing on Dec 5 or 13, if they fail to grant certiori in the tax cases, them you can bet that they will fail to grant certioi in this case, if they grant it, they whole case just becomes one for the law books with little implication for the Trump admin.

For the past several years we (my ex and son) have been having dinner at her house with me bringing the Turkey and some other sides. This year they are going to my ex brother-in-laws (long story, don't really want to get into it). This year I will probably stay at home and bake a pecan pie, something I haven't been able to eat for several years while I went through the whole dental implant ordeal. This time I will make it the way I like it, without regard to how anyone else feels. I am splitting up the Turkey and cooking part of it and freezing the rest. Then 9 hours of brainless watching of football. I'll clean up my mess as i go along so that Friday I can do anything I feel like.

First, Every state has its own rules for electing delegates. No delegates will be awarded prior to the primary for that state. Because of 2016, there have been differences in how the super delegates vote and take part. Super delegates came about to allow rank and file to attend even if they were from one of those precincts that was home to several elected officials who would snatch up all the delegate slots for convention. They do not get a vote until the second ballot, if one is necessary. This will be the first election under the new rules. All super delegates will be on the floor and in committees where they will have votes on items brought before them. There is way too much hand wringing before the vote vote has been cast in any primary. NH and Iowa will most likely winnow the field down to 5 or 6 and by Super Tuesday we should see who our real front runners are. It is really in the voters hands, so get out , vote, drag at least a few of your like minded friends out to vote with you.

It is note the party system that is broken, it is the electoral process with first past the post wins in each district. If we went to a voting system where a vote in Florida, Texas, New York or Calif counted as much as a vote from Wy, ND, SD.ID,ALaska. Right now they count much more in the smaller states than they do in the larger ones. It goes back to a 1906 law that sets the house at 435 members, but each state has to get one vote. So the 600,000 voters of WY count as much as the 1M+ in TX and CA.
