Currently, as an anthropology undergrad student, my interests are cultural, social, and linguistic. Understanding new cultures is a constant challenge to my way of understanding life, reminding me of my cognitive biases, and that I know nothing. I love the evolution of religions and ideologies, and their explanation as a tool for understanding the world by developing societies. I also don't see people who are religious as being less intelligent than I am. I learned about the big bang in astronomy class where the professor himself was a southern baptist Christian. That being said, I am a fan of the paradigm shift that was the Enlightenment, and science and reason are tools that I use in order to understand my reality. I am a fan of Stephen Pinker, Sam Harris, and Lawrence Krauss. The spiritual side of me resides in the analysis of human mind and culture with people like Carl Jung, Claude Levi-Strauss, and Alan Watts.
