I like Christian music. Do you see a problem with that?

Like what you like.

I like a lot of sacred music — Bach, Mozart, Dvorak, Mendelssohn, Fauré etc. I suspect that's very different from the sort of Christian music you're talking about, but if I like mine, why shouldn't you like yours?

Good music is good music and what determines if it is good music is your taste in music. Totally subjective, so sit back and enjoy whatever rocks your boat.

Sometimes it pissed me off. Depends on the tune.

Why would anyone care? That's your taste in music.

I don't care

Depends on the Christian music. I grew up on it, so there's a lot of it that I still like. But there's a lot of it that I never really cared for. Especially the old 'gospel' sounding stuff.

I was a huge fan of The Second Chapter of Acts as a teenager and into my twenties, but they're a little hard to listen to now. I used to love the Altar Boys, but when I tried listening to them again, the lyrics really turned me off... though the music is still pretty good.

Quickflight is still one of my favorite bands, and I still listen to Steve Taylor and Lost Dogs. From time to time I'll pull out Barnabas albums. That's right, I have them all on vinyl.

Because I believe you are using sarcasm, I'm going to say 'Yes. Yes I do see a problem with that'.

Are you really that bored? Yeh Duuuude I got a problem with it maaan!!!! It makes me involuntarily sick and I just start puking all over everybody, Man it's really nasty this time of year in my house, all the puke all over the place. I had to hire a women and she just follows me around and cleans up the puke as I walk by any Christmas songs playing....it's insufferable man, I think they call it 'christunitis"...it's horrible man, I hope none of you ever have to go through it...

I saw Creed in Concert about 10 years ago. Thats the only kind of music he sings now.

You mean Scott Stapp or Scott Flippen, the name he was born with, the lead singer to the group Creed, right? He is a great singer...I got check some of it out...I mean there is a lot of rock music that all nonsense...

I will admit that I like some of the Mannheim Steamroller songs. I now try to not apply the wordage to their songs.

3

Nope not a problem its totally your taste in music, if you like it thats fine

If anyone has a problem with you listening to what you like, then they have problems.

I like Blues, is that inconsistent with being agnostic?

There is one Christmas song that I might hurt you if I had to hear it more than once. The Christmas Shoes is the name of the song. For pity sake Jesus doesn't care what shoes your mama goes to heaven in, if she goes to heaven in any clothing at all or even goes to heaven!! I haven't heard it yet this year so I had mostly forgotten about it, Which is why I changed my radio station so I wouldn't hear it. Anything but that song. K?

Why do you worry about people's opinion you are free to enjoy what ever music you wish...

Many of the early classical works by the likes of Betthoven, Mozart and Chopin are christian based and are inarguably exceptional. However, I find a large majority of todays christian rock to be a faded carbon copy of boring, predictable, corporately produced, lowest common denomenator cookie cutter music which isn't all that great in the first place.

2

I like Christmas music too. But I haven't heard grandma got run over by a reindeer in ages.

I like Sixpence None The Richer and Plumb. Both are Christian musicians. But generally I stay away from Christian Rock as well as Country Music.
