There have been years when I haven't managed more than four hours sleep a night. Luckily I function pretty well on four hours sleep.

Sometimes. I tried listening to music, but I found music with lyrics keeps me awake. So, I startled listening to NPR (U.S., equivalent to BBC radio). I figure if I can't sleep then at least i will learn something.

Since 1991. It turned out I have fibromyalgia, which came with a sleep disorder.( my brain won’t go into the restorative waves on its own...delta waves? I think). I only sleep with medication.

Usually, I'm able to fall asleep without too many problems, but I have bouts of insomnia that last days at a time. Generally, I can manage to salvage 2-3 hours of sleep during days where I'm affected, however, so I don't think my insomnia is too bad, comparatively

Yes, but luckily not every night. I do go to sleep sometimes and wake up in the middle of the night and cannot fall asleep again. Just lying there, so I go up and do something that I enjoy.

Hi, Surfer,

You earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, when you write an informational profile that includes your hobbies and interests, and answer all the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member.

Also, the website uses your profile to find member matches, so the more details you include, the better the match.

Then you make comments and write your own posts to earn more points and privileges; for instance, at level two you can private email people. You get different perks with each level, and when you reach level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.

To find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Or click on the "About" button at the top of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.
