When somebody creates a group, there's an option to limit members to a particular level or higher - for example, there are a couple of speciaslised groups which can only be joined by people at Level 7 or 8, whereas others (such as the photography group) are open to Level 2 and up. Levels 3 and 4 are very easily attainable just by posting, commenting and liking other people's posts and comments; you should find you can join more groups very soon.

Don't worry about joining groups. You don't need to, you just go on as you do. If you read something that you want to comment on then do it.

Old is good. It comes with years of experience which is a very valuable commodity. Enjoy posting your opinions & knowledge. As your level rises you will be able to do more things like joining groups. Have a good time & learn a lot as well as teaching us what you bring to the forums.

Welcome Hipchick ..I wouldn't worry too much about groups..if you are new..you can allow that to evolve over time as you settle in..take your time and have fun.

Some groups have level restrictions. The three groups I host on here all have level restrictions in an attempt to curb spamming.

I'm new aswell trying to figure things out too. Lots of interesting things being talked about on here. It's also nice to have a community of like minded people. I'm glad I joined. Hope you get it figured out.
