I deconverted while my previous / late wife remained a believer. Neither of us saw any reason why our marriage "wouldn't work anymore". If she hadn't died, we'd still be together. Our relationship wasn't based on religion, it had to do with mutual respect and mutual interests.

On the other hand my wife didn't insist that I live my life based on her religion. Maybe that's the problem??

Did you just find this out or did none of it matter until recently? Something as simple as a change in family money supply can trigger and set off many things and it may not all happen instantly. My advice would be counciling and I don't mean the religious councilor.

She doesn't have to "walk away" from God, she just have to stop ramming it down your and anybody els throat. Just like you have to stop doing the opposite.

Excuse me but it's hard for me to understand "how you married a person whose beliefs are so different from yours".

So sorry for your situation, those who believe in that mythology are brainwashed. It was started to control the population and gain wealth and it is an insidious invention of the powerful on this planet. It will be the ruin of civilization and we don't have long.
