yes - 12 years sounds about right. The trouble with old people is that sometimes they refuse to accept that a younger person might do a better job.

All politicians need term limits,I'd say no more than 6 years(if that),there's no turn over unless someone dies or steps down. As bad as some of the countries with "President for life",once in office,almost impossible to remove.
