This pale skinned redhead is finding this heatwave a trial. Even with factor 50 I have about 30 minutes before the frying starts ???☀️?⛱️?

I used to work as a lifeguard. During that, my doctor put me on meds that made me sunburn easier. Level 50 would protect me for almost three hours.

More recently, I've been taking my bike rides in the middle of the night, because the summer daytime heat gets to be too much. Though this year the city has taken to locking up the access points to the bike trail and some gates across the bike trail at sunset to keep out the homeless.

I have dark hair and an olive complexion, but I'm still suffering. Can't wait for winter!

There is some research that says sun creams cause cancer, not the sun. And I think it's already proven than anything above a factor 30 degenerates at the same rate as F30, so there's no point in applying it.

Yes..i know..its like you're damned if you do..and you're damned if you don't...

@Josephine Only keeping you up to date. Doesn't mean you should just go & lie in the sun with no protection - but build up gradually - wear a light cotton shirt, cover up to start with. Your body will adjust & adapt. And maybe you should have "I refused to adapt" on your gravestone.

@Josephine, @Hitchens No, you just need to realise that your body can cope if you build up gradually. Your body can't cope with 30 times what it should be coping with.

@GoldenDoll

Thanks GoldenDoll..good advice..I need to do some study on these creams..I have heard snippets of interesting if not alarming data..on these creams or lotions etc before..

@Josephine oh yawn.

@Josephine it's not advice. You do what you like.
