Well at least the bible has some common sense....

Leviticus 19:33-34 and 24:22 – When the alien resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the alien. The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”

Most versions say foreigner or stranger, the common English translation says immigrant alien in its original sense also means foreigner so it is an equally good if equally inaccurate translation.

In reality the word used in Hebrew is Ger the root word of the modern Hebrew term Goy or Goyim, a derogatory term for a none Israelite and even more so back then.

So while having good intent it is still racist.

Is is the equivalent of of some one today saying, hey be nice to the (N word) not his fault he is not white.

The Bible has a whole lot to say about how one is supposed to treat immigrants, refugees and travelers from foreign lands. None of which meshes with what is happening right now.

WOW and NONE of those get cherry picked. How the fuck does THAT happen?

@silverotter11 For the same reasons all the riches plastered on the Mexico City Cathedral's walls remain on said walls and not even one f...g ruby / chip of gold goes to the needy.
I could say the same about the Vatican.

@DUCHESSA so VERY true!!

@silverotter11 One, of many, altar in the Mexico City Cathedral.

What version are you reading from? The KJV (King James Version) says "stranger."

@LenHazell53 I am not sure how your response pertains to my question but it is an interesting idea.

@CreativelyMe Sorry misposted it in the wrong place
