Exactly what I was going to say! lol

Lol she can't travel. She can't even walk.

When your mom is actually a Terminator

Here are the pics again since I pushed the sad anonymous button

@azzow2 that's my mom. Though my neck makes people cringe, too

@LadyAlyxandrea Was at the pain management doctors office a few months back she stopped short of saying WTF.

@azzow2 mine too lol

For as much as I am disabled in the brain, the one thing I have been very fortunate with is my physical health.I've been very lucky. I've broken quite a few bones over the years, but never anything like this. I can't even imagine what she is going through. I do hope that she can get some resolve to be able to function again.

Nice. I’ve run a couple like that before.

She's going to have to amputate

@LadyAlyxandrea When did this happen? I can't imagine.

At first I thought healed - but no - that break is still visible and just bolted together. Gees.

@RavenCT this was 6 years ago. The xray is from last december

@LadyAlyxandrea That sucks. Couldn’t get swelling down fast enough?

@fiferguy couldn't get the swelling down ever lol

That is one messed up ankle. Does it ache much?

She cannot use it. The doc completely destroyed it. The only thing she can do to get any relief is to amputate.

@LadyAlyxandrea did she get a second opinion?

@HippieChick58 16 opinions and I've also sought opinions from ortho surgeons across the globe through my medical app

@LadyAlyxandrea dang, that's hard. But at least with amputation she will be able to be fitted with a prosthesis and have some mobility. Accidents can be life changing.

@HippieChick58 trust me I know. A month after her accident I had mine that has my arms disabled. It's no fun. She honestly is really excited to chop it off, because she hates the lack of mobility. I keep telling her this would be the best time while she isn't working, since she will need rehab. Unfortunately we just don't have the money for it

@LadyAlyxandrea Yes, medical care in the US sucks for those who lack resources.

@LadyAlyxandrea HELL! I'm so very sorry!

Driver in a car accident?

Slipped on ice.

@LadyAlyxandrea Ohh! Man....

What a horrendous mess, my toolbox is neater than that, how can such incompetence be allowed?

Holy cow looks like she has half a hardware store in her leg.

HELP I accidentally hit "anonymous" and it won't put it back!

@sitesupport help!

@LadyAlyxandrea, ok, post is back as yours now

@SiteSupport thank youuuu

That's gotta be some kind of fuck up right?

Two kinds, actually.

@LadyAlyxandrea Looked at some of your other comments. Damn! How did the doc fuck it up?

@kmdskit3 first time he used the wrong hardware and didn't fix the fib. Second time they were SUPPOSED to remove all of the hardware and then replate it, fix the fibula, and instead they fused the ankle at the wrong angle, plated the fibula at the wrong angle, couldn't get the hardware out because "the screws were stripped" so they put more in

@LadyAlyxandrea What a cluster fuck! They screwed up this bad and won't pay for the amputation?

@kmdskit3 lol ikr

Damn!!

I'm hoping she'll find an ortho specialist who can replace the entire joint! Amputation should NOT be a last resort!

She doesn't want another surgery anymore. It's not just the ankle but the fibia too. She's had three failed surgeries. She just wants it gone

@LadyAlyxandrea I'm SO SORRY! My son-in-law lost the lower part of a leg in a motorcycle accident. The prosthesis he has is AMAZINGLY effective/sensitive. I'm wishing her the best!

I am really sorry to see this. However, Kate, my wife, cannot walk and gets around fine in an office chair for inside and a wheelchair outside. Can be a pain though as I always want to help her but she wants to have control by herself. Not that I want to control her, that would be impossible, just want to make sure she gets where she wants to go.
