I bought a full size 6 foot skeleton (from a comic book add) with glow in the dark eyes when I was 10.
When I finally got it it was a sheet of white plastic with a couple of stick on glow in the dark eyes.

I remember being creeped out by the notion that there could be tiny underwater humanoids living in a glass bowl in my bedroom. I finally saw them at Kmart and there was a tiny, discretely placed diagram of a brine shrimp on the box. So then I wasn’t creeped out anymore, but the magic was gone.
