I've said it many times here. Star Trek has a much better vision of the future. If Ihad to choose which one I would want ot live in, it would definitely be Star Trek.

Trek all the way! It gets such little recognition these days b/c the star wars canon is growing so rapidly. ...but Trek is the utopian, boy scout, equality-based, UN of the future...where science rules. The underlying theme seems to be Science/Pragmatism/Equality against stupidity or nihilism, typically. Star Wars is v totalitarianism... neither choice in Star Wars is a preferrable option... though, if that were the choice I had to make, I'd opt to be a budhist monk over a corporate middle manager any day!

This is a hard one to vote on, but I voted Star Wars because the original trilogy has always been my favorite set of movies and my favorite story. But the older I've gotten, the more I've grown to really love Star Trek TNG. I watched it while I was growing up and loved it but I've grown especially fond of it in the last few years. I've honestly not watched enough of the other Star Trek series to rate it as a whole but on the strength of TNG alone it's a hard vote.

There are signs of intelligence in Star Trek. Star Wars is a video game.

I don't feel strongly bought about either, they're the sort of thing I'll watch if they're on but I wouldn't go out of my way to see them.

I like both but overall I love the trek. Picard ftw. And DS9 from the third to sixth seasons was badass.

I would say Star Trek, only because of Next Gen.
Without Picard its all Star Wars.

i voted for Star Wars strictly for the far better visual effects. Trek led the way however. It was always unfortunate to me that William Shatner was the lead actor

I grew up watching Star Trek. I also like Star Wars, until the last jedi, that last movie really tried to destroy the series.

Star Trek is soft sci-fi. Star Wars is Fantasy in Space. Choose your poison.

I prefer my Fantasy in Space to have mind-flayers and drow, so Star Trek is more interesting to me

I have been a fan of both since forever, but lately I have become disillusioned with both.I couldn't get past the first episode of ST: Discovery, and turned off The Last Jedi halfway through.

For my Sci Fi buzz, I now look to Doctor Who, The Expanse, and Dark Matter (hoping someone will pick this up again)

With only those two to choose from, Star Trek of course. Both are fun in their own way. Both are exciting often enough. But for content there can be only one choice. For story, Star Wars could have taken place anywhere and in any time. Star Wars also had a lot more woo than Star Trek.
