I have a plan, but it's still open to change as well, life is what happens while busy making plans.

Level 6

I'd like to be out of my house in next few years. Kid should be done and moved on and I don't need a house for just me. Freedom to move around, see the country by living in a mobile type home sounds good to me.

Yes, because it gives me something to strive for and work towards. It helps me to organize and better my life.

What the hell for?
It has been my experience that life laughs at 5-year plans.
Then, it fucks them.

Perhaps, as you get older, you will not have to change your plans and ideals to accommodate reality.

I concentrate on making a year plan. I do however, react to the economy and trends so that I can adjust my life to live efficiently and effectively without getting behind the times.

Honestly I think they are worthless. Things happen that change outcomes and are totally out of your control, and then you just feel a sense of failure for not reaching that plan.
I think it’s better to have some goals that are somewhat fluid that you work towards, but don’t overplan things too far in advance.
