These are the same nerds you find dressed up at an American Renaissance Fair who are NOT employees of volunteers of the Fair. It is a matter of fun, not a political statement.

Never mess with men wielding swords and wearing knee-length dresses. I'd say they're just out for a bit of fun.

You don't actually have to try and get offended at everything....some things are just done in plain fun.

I would say they are likely just looking for a place in town where they might buy a shrubbery.

If say just pro England and having a bit of fun. The anti Muslim version usually includes a shaved head, bad tattoos, worse sunburn, and a pint of cheap lager brewed somewhere they want to cut off all trade with.

It seems more likely that it’s a reference to Saint George, who is often portrayed as a mail-clad knight. It’s a football (soccer) fan thing, since yesterday was the World Cup semi-final between England and Croatia (which the English lost 2-1 after extra time).

I would need a little more context. For all I know, they could be die-hard Monty Python fans.

Agreed. I suspect that when they need to get from point A to point B, there's a certain amount of skipping and clapping together coconuts.

@chalupacabre the shoes don't seem to be historically accurate.

Maybe they're out for revenge against Croatia.
