I see all over the internet people saying in their profiles, "I live life to the fullest". Just what does that even mean?

Some sort of euphemism meaning they do more stuff than you do.
😛

or at least want to believe they do.

@jlynn37 Exactly.

"I drink a lot"

I think it just sounds good. I don't think it means diddly. It is completely subjective.

I live life to the fullest and I love to laugh.

I don't know if i life life to the fullest but im a go with the flow kndda guy and im always willing to say yes to any new expiriences

I can go with that.

3

Its meaningless. We all live our lives until we don't.

3

Means they set goals and meet said goals. Or they just like to say something positive about themselves to give the illusion of happiness

Nothing.

They rode 8 seconds on a bull named Fu Manchu lol

I'm not sure about living life to it's fullest, but I do try to do a few things. Like I try to learn something new every day. I like to help people, so I volunteer at a homeless shelter. I write and play music. I try to say 'Hi' to every one I walk by on my daily walks.

Then again, sometimes I don't do shit except drink a bunch of beers and watch movies all day.

I like it.

We keep going till we're dead...then we just stop...

Sounds reasonable.

For me that would be: living in such a way as to have no regrets on my deathbed.

burning the candle from all three ends while racing along the fast lane, cellphone glued to the head?

Eat plenty and well?

If you have to say it, you probably don't.

Thank you. Such comments seem empty.

I know I don't live life to the fullest. I'm great at procrastination and wasting time. I need to get off my butt and start living life to the fullest I guess. Honestly, I'm pretty happy with life generally. Not to happy with my love life nor with my health at the moment but not ready to check out today. I still have checkmarks to add to bucket list #1.

I can totally relate.

So do it. Start now.

I think it means when people are doing things that they find pleasurable, whatever that might mean to them: spending time with friends and family, fishing, road trips, traveling, book club, dancing, weekend movies, dining out, cooking in, wine club, walking the dogs, exercise, etc, etc, etc. I would say however, that if your idea of "living life to the fullest" means you spend most of your waking moments at home and doing little while there, it might be depression. And before anyone becomes offended, my grandfather was a double amputee who fished regularly, enjoyed roadtrips with my grandmother, raised a family, bought a home, and ran his own rowdy bar for forty years to his death. He lived life to his fullest. And without excuses.

Making the most of every day...whether it is doing a good job at work, loving your children, traveling, eating good foods, etc. Whatever makes a person feel fulfilled and happy...it is an open-ended expression to be interpreted by the person posting and the person reading...

1

It means they do whatever they want, as an extension of the idea that any experience can teach you something.
