One of my favorite memories of the time I spent as a member of Alcoholics Anonymous is rule #62, "Don't take yourself too seriously." In fact, I am no longer a member of AA precisely because I stopped taking the stories of my past and who I think I am too seriously. This brings me to the point I'd like to make that I try not take my belief or unbelief in any proposition too serious. My only goal is to experience life as it is.

Experiencing life as it actually is, is way harder, so congrats for going at it sober and cold turkey.

I need to say that my acceptance of life as it is does include my drinking a beverage with alcohol responsibly sometimes.
