I just recently gave up on on-line dating. Now I have stumbled upon this site via Facebook. Of course this site is more than just dating which is very great. Has anyone else become frustrated with on-line dating to point of wanting to chuck it all together?

Dr Brené Brown tackles the myth that vulnerability is a weakness. Instead, she argues, it is the clearest path to courage and meaningful connection, and has the power to transform the way we engage and educate 22 min.

Well, friendship long distance works well enough, I find. Good intelligent communication is worth a lot to me and hard to find. I have friends all over the world thanks to online contacts over the years. I wish I had someone close, but since I haven't found that person, and am not likely to, given where I live now, having long distance friends feels good.

Yes. I tell guys I'm agnostic and not interested in dating a Christian and they want to argue with me or they turn hateful. I'm also tired of guys like Filthyhot and Oral69 wanting to hook up with me because they think I'm "gorgeous " and "sexy". It's just so difficult to meet people any other way.

At one time or another I've been a member of every major dating site you can think of, and lots you have probably never heard of. I finally got so burned out I quit looking. You're right, it is difficult to meet people.

I stumbled on this site and its really interesting. I found it off facebook. It is going to be a great new place to visit and learn.

Dating sites often just fall flat. I've even done a blog on the "men" . Most all start off on the first conversation talking about SEX. Wanting SEX.

Maybe I'm just old school but dang, I'd like to know a person before that.

I still have an on-line dating membership, but, am very pessimistic about it's success.
Briefly dated one lady that has severe ADHD.
Another has symptoms of bi-polar/schizophrenia.
Both claimed to be atheists but I have my doubts.
Am in the bible belt where agnostic/atheists are rare.
At least here I have company.

YES! All of the guys who could possibly be available to explore a relationship, live in other cities or states.

I'm not here to date. I'm here to make friends, have good conversations, and maybe get together with like-minded people. I'm not here to talk naked on webcams, look at dick pics, be asked what my favorite sex position is and if I'm kinky.

As you can see I'm not a fan of dating sites.

I gave up on it along time ago but mostly because I don't know what to type.

I don't do online dating. It's awkward and frustrating. As soon as you go out with one person and have to tell that person it won't work, then there's the next one to let down. It's painful and not worth it. If I find someone I like through discussions, I might be interested, and that would be welcome, but I'm not looking for a date. Compatibility is complicated and not easy. A complementary relationship is easy to recognize and when it happens responding is natural.

I haven’t totally given up on online dating, but it certainly very frustrating. I like generally intelligent discussion here and if more comes from it great.

I've pretty much gave up dating all together. Why I am here, just out of curiosity I suppose.

Yes. I gave it up several years ago. Very frustrating. I came here not thinking it was a dating site. I like the fact that I just have other people to talk with now. If a date/relationship comes from it great, but I’m happy as is.

Well, yeah but there's always something else to try that just might work. You never know until you try, right?
