Starting a relationship with a religious person. Openly identifying this delta as a possible issue. She works close but lives far. Likes 45 given the option.....and knows I despise unintelligent leadership. Your 2 cents.......GO

Since most men think with their reproductive organs, what she thinks likely shouldn't matter to you.

I wouldn't even be FRIENDS with an ignorant Trumpite, but I value people for more than satisfying urges.

That all sounds like some kind of nightmare scenario. I was married to a religious person, who spent an inordinate amount of time trying to convert me. It was exhausting. If he had also been oposite politically, I would hope that I would have wised up earlier and avoided the whole mess. If neither of you have strong feelings about your beliefs in politics and religion, then you might agree to disagree. I know that I would run.

why is "leadership" an issue in your relationship?

You got all the answers in front of you and closing your eyes?

Depends on what you think of 45.

Depends on which 45 - I like a Brimful of Asha on the 45; President 45 is an infant with nuclear codes.

run man.

Get out

@Palindromeman man that's freaky scary.... it's like too real or something.

@hankster It's a brilliant film - it manages to be a horror film and a biting social commentary. You don't see that much.

@Palindromeman I can see why. I think I'd be so angry when I left I couldn't stand it.

I wouldn't be surprised if your biggest issue is the political one. I've met, talked to, and heard about couples with radically different religious views who made it work. Trump supporter vs sane person -- that's tough. Fans of 45 have their own (lack of) logic that makes him into a virtuous Christian who isn't racist at all and who is classy (guy eats McDonald's!) and smart (his lawyers don't want him to answer any Mueller questions because he'll contradict himself). My ex was a Trump supporter and we broke up shortly after a conversation regarding him sleeping with Stormy Daniels. After saying how classy Melania was, I pointed out that he had an affair with Stormy (at the time, recent news) when she had just given birth to their son. She said that the affair was fake news and we were done. So, good luck.

I live an hour from my workplace. When you live that far out, the idea of a quick drive is relative. I say I'm going to "run to the store" that an hour roundtrip, not including the shopping. Driving in may not be an issue for her.

The question of religion: how devout is she? That may give a clue as to how big a bone of contention that will be.

As for politics, personally, I have very strong feelings on that topic for a wide variety of reasons. That is gonna have to be all you.

It’s a hard one to make it work, especially as we age and they start thinking about how you may not be there with them in their concept of an afterlife.
