Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Christopher Hitchins claims in his book God Is Not Great that Stalin's Russia was superimposed on the Greek Orthodox doctrines of his time. Sam Harris repeated this idea recently at a conference in Dublin. I haven't got or read the book and haven't found the relevant information online. The only information I've read so far is here:
