My best friend of 16 years just passed away. My sheltie, Spenser, was so sweet. I wasn’t there with him because I’m in Iowa visiting family, but my friend and dog sitter found him and is taking care of him. I will miss him so much, but I’m happy he is no longer suffering or confused. Rest easy, my baby boy.

So sorry for your loss! Dogs have such short lives, this happens to us fairly often. Horses last more than twice as long, but even they die eventually.
Snakes, tortoises, and parrots live longer than we do, however.

I'm so, so sorry! Unfortunately I know all about losing dogs and cats and horses and just about every other kind of pet.
