I had a phone hearing with an unemployment judge the other day. I had to swear to tell the truth "so help me god." ?

Long time ago I was an unemployment judge. We only had 1/2 hour to contact employee and employer and make a decision and mail the decision.
I remember one time a truck driver was applying for unemployment. He had driven his employer's truck under an overpass that was too low for his truck and caused $20,000 worth of damage and was fired. He thought it was kind of funny. It was not so funny when I denied his unemployment which was due to his own fault. He wanted to kill me but they had him do an appeal instead.

Did you challenge them or did you not want the drama?

I think they shoudl change the "so help me god" to "under penalty of fraud and/or perjury".
