I had a conversation with someone recently who was an out and out creationist and was horrified of the thought of us evolving from apes. I asked her if she thought Genesis happened literally like it said in the bible and she said she believed every word as it was written by god. No it wasn't I said, but then asked her do you believe that Adam and Eve were created as fully adult human beings and she said yes. I am afraid at that point I just burst out laughing! She was aghast and I quickly apologised, as I am not usually rude even in the face of stupidity. I said I was just so unprepared for her answer that it took me by surprise! I think she went off to pray for me.
