The most solid sign of becoming an adult is moving your bed to the center of the wall from the corner.

I can dig that. But what if it's still a race car?

Make sure to use your blinker when changing sides

Can we build pillow forts?

I'd want the Mach 5.

My bed is against a wall so I can have the window, the room is a big, it’s an actual choice... I have no intentions of growing up.

Yeah. I seriously never thought my furniture placement was open to someone else's tsk tsk judge judge.

I always thought it was when watching a game show on daytime television, you actually get excited at the thought of winning an appliance.

Or the ceramic dog

3

Also having a kitchen drawer full of rubbish stuff that you keep in case the day arrives when you need a pen with no ink left, a big knot of assorted wires or the key to that padlock that you threw away cos it was broken four years previously. Welcome to adulthood.

Don’t forget the incomplete deck of cards, a few thumb tacks and a clothes pin.

I'm not an adult yet? I recall singing "I'm an adult now" many moons ago lying in bed in the corner

I don't see the logic here and Im not moving the bed...and you can't make me...nanananana, you can't make me

Well consider this. If you get up on the wrong side of the bed. Then there is only one side to blame. ?

2

What about to the center of the room, away from every wall?

That a whole other level....

@Christiep77 ah yes, “super-adulthood”

@JoeLiuzzi few achieve it. It’s a blessing and a curse.

2

And when your bed procedes to follow when 'the earth moves' it.

2

Nope. Nope Nope and Nope.

Small space living.

Visiting c-cks can crawl over.

Over active bladders can have the outside.

2

True..

It's such a statement..and a leap of faith..

"I have arrived!"

2

True. Making the bed is easier now.

2

Speculating on the reasons why...

Because someone else can get in from the other side?

Because you can now afford a bigger room?

Because interior decoration now means more to you than posters of rock stars and sci fi characters?

Because you actually make your bed now?

Because you are sexually active and you want to minimise the noise transfer to adjacent rooms?

All valid reasons

2

Show your work... But fair warning, I may not be an adult yet

Here ya go

@Christiep77 I meant that figuratively! Like why does that make you an adult, haha

@amdam87 i was just complying...I don’t make the rules....

1

I'm still too scared.

Everyone matures at a different pace. Its ok to do things in your own time....

@Christiep77 baby steps....maybe move it a few inches away from the wall a month?

1

I thought it was never being sent to the corner for being bad ever again

Well....

Haha!! I just moved my bed to the corner! I have a king and it's really to big for the room. I always hated that the frame stuck out into the window. I have a cape cod.so short walls and it just didn't fit. I finally got rid of the frame and moved it to the corner and Iove it!!

1

I would do that if I actually had the space to do so! I'm just grateful it fits in the room.

1

I'm going in reverse, then. Mine was in the middle for years and years, but has recently been pushed into the corner to make room.

You found a loophole!!! Yay!!

1

I must be super grown up because mine is away from the wall as well.

You transcended into a whole other dimension of existence

1

Now is funny, well stated!!
