Los Angeles Central Juvenile Detention Center

For?

@Sticks48 High tea

@BlueWave How long?

@Sticks48 Too

@BlueWave Guys love outlaws too. ?

@Sticks48 Actually, I think it was about three days. To me, it felt like FOREVER!

@BlueWave I'm sure it did. I have done a couple of overnighter, and knew l would never do prison. I probably got lucky in that regard doing all the different drugs back in the day. If l had gotten busted and was out on bail, l think l would have disappeared.

Newark Airport.

I was there last year. I will now avoid it unless I simply have no choice. Worst ever.

Church

That's what I was going to say.

@toots8735 , beat you to it...lol

Driving across Kansas.

I can relate. I have made this drive many times.

In an orange Plymouth Duster with a guy I really didn't like, but had to pretend that he had a chance with me, since I needed a ride home from college over the Thanksgiving break. He was boring and tried to hit on me the entire 16 hour trip. He got lost so we had to bunk down at a farm somewhere in Ohio because he got too crazy tired to drive safely...I couldn't sleep because I was afraid he would try something...worst road trip experience ever...then I had to repeat it, except the farm layover, to get back...double worst road trip experience ever...

@thinktwice

That sounds terrible. Glad you made it safely.

@LiterateHiker If he were interesting to talk to, it would have been great...but all he could talk about was muscle cars and how he wanted to sleep with all of the girls in my dorm...ugh...plus he had an Afro( he was white) and wore polyester plaid pants...nightmare...just a nightmare...thanks for bringing it to mind...ha ha ha I forgive you!

In Trump's America.

Ouch! So true.

1

Ohio

@gebulldog I was there for almost a year. Pure torture. May we never have to step foot there again.

2

Kansas.

Why would you say that?

Unable to afford my own place and can't move out from my ended marriage/relationship. It's been a few years...

I hated that when it happened to me.

7

In my own head.

Me too!

Driving across Texas, from east to west, was the longest boring experience of my life.

I was stuck in Venezuela for a week after being mugged on day one by machete point then trying to get passports while everything was closed for holy week, because the police wanted to throw us in jail for not having passports.

OMG! Glad you got away!

In a rental car half way across the country with someone and we weren't getting along at all, in fact I think she almost wanted me dead. Never been so glad to walk into the Vegas airport alone.

OW! Poor baby!

Stranded overnight in Seoul's airport. Howling rainstorm outside made even a day tour seem awful. This is the only time in my life I rented a hotel room by the hour! 🙂

(Edited to say...by the hour to SLEEP, of course!)

I concur with @nottheonlyone about in my head, for years at a time. Physically other than living alone for much longer than is ideal, By the side of the road downtown with a flat waiting on a jack in Knoxville (apparently my used car was missing it). then the donut got me maybe a half mile before having to be towed anyways to a wal mart parking lot to spend the night til I could buy a tire. Had two friends with me, taking one to see a band for his birthday but wound up missing the show, his dad came to get him from an hour n a half away and the other friend stayed with me in the parking lot til morning. Biggest bummer of a wasted night ever.

Life... long time, very long time!

When I was laid off after 31 years of uninterrupted service. The time between jobs felt like the twilight zone or something. Stay home and do nothing did NOT fare too well with me. I was pretty miserable freaking out.... Luckily, I was searching so agressively that I found an even better job. The fact that it is 70 miles away from home seems unimportant now.
