Cat lover! my unimaginative grandmother replaced many cats which died, as she lived on the Isle of Dogs; there were many rats around so she called each new one 'Fluffy, 'whether they were or not. The fluffy I knew was the sixteenth and by then we had moved to the suburbs. It was the fifties very few cars on the road and our fluffy was sixteen years old he used to go to sleep on the fence which had a wide wooden top that he could dangle over (and fall off of ) but he had four extra paws so he would sort of float down which happened once when he went to sleep on a top floor windowsill and abseiled down with his paws wide just shook himself and walked away - he was a major celebrity in our area and when he got very old my uncle reversed over his head in the car - he lost some teeth but soldiered on and then he took to taking naps in the middle of the road and neighbours passing would pick him up and reset him on the fence saying come on fluffy this is your place- he died about eighteen years old and I never ever met a nicer cat.

I'm a dog person, but I have a cat rather than a dog because I can leave it for the weekend without worrying about lining someone up to take care of it.

Here is my cat showing me how curling up with a book works. LOL

I like both dogs and cats, but I prefer cats since they are low maintenance.

I am a one dog owner person. Great friend and companion but you do have have the time for a dog.

I like my outside cats, six or seven at last count....they have free roam of my shop and storage areas.....keep the mice, rats, and rattlesnake populations down.....I sleep with my dog...we enjoy reading, watching the news, Rachael Madow, Stephen Cobert, and Seph Myers.....working in the yard..fixing, and making things in the shop, ...and just hanging out....she keeps my blood pressure in check,..and warns me if the cats come too close to the house. ...
Life is good...every body in the world has the right to be jealous of me.

I'm a dog person. Cats are nice and all but I have a bad cat allergy. And I'm deathly allergic to the asshole cats.

@Redcupcoffee I do have a dog allergy too but it's not as severe as my cat allergy. Not sure why that is. Just being around cats will make my face itch and watery and swell up. With dogs, sometimes I get reactions, sometimes I don't. It's worth it though! haha!

Both. Golden Retriever, 6 cats. Mostly rescues of one kind or another. Oh, and a corn snake. All of them companions in different ways. I’ve shared my home with many different species of mammals, skunk, ferret, pigmy hedgehog, pocket pets....and really enjoyed their different personalities . Now dog never leaves my side, and the cats are opportunists for an open lap. Who can say no?

Well, considering that I don’t have pointed ears, a tail and my genitalia is isn’t stitched to my underbelly, then I’m neither.

Was a cat person. Now a dog person.

@Redcupcoffee the kids had always wanted a dog and then the last cat died and a friend had bred a litter and was giving away spaniel pups so that sealed it.

I love all animals, but my lifestyle is more conducive for cats, so I have 2.

I'm a dog person. I currently have 2 min-pins which I take everywhere. I never thought about having a cat as a pet until I met my X. She had a black cat that meowed a lot. I now would consider getting a cat. From a rescue, of course.

My first pet was a cat (Mitsy), named her after my first grade reading book "Tip and Mitten". I like Dogs just as much, however my favorite pet was a French Lop Rabbit named Bumper!

Definitely,a dog person. Always wanted a Great Dane.

Hmm? Big scary dogs that need to sleep with stuffed animals. ?

Team Cat, here. Have had many over the years starting with Velvet, the seal point Siamese cat-show reject. She started me on my life long love of all things feline. Crazy cat lady fur sure! 😉 I'm down to one now, my rescue Sophie who's now 15. Going forward and wanting to travel may prevent me temporarily from having another, but cats find their way to me somehow. >^..^<

I've owned cats in the past but never owned a dog before. Cats are great as they pretty much do their own thing. Although I wouldn't mind owning a dog now as It will force let me out the house.

I am an animal lover. Dog, cat, snake, whatever. I have a dog right now and am allergic to cats

Only cats. Truthfully, I don't like dogs. They are either big and nasty or small and stupid. Having been threatened by enough of them while jogging ( never threatened them) I am positively jaundiced about them. At family gatherings they all have these costly King Charles Cavalier terrier mungrels, which are as silly as wheels, and I give them the cold shoulder, and yet they try to suck up to me and want me to be their friend! Family members shake their heads. Can't understand it. I can. They are dumb.

Only cats. Last one went to cat heaven a few years ago, sadly missed. Would like a black cat (what else?) but they are a tie, aren't they. Miss not having one though.

Most of my life I have had cats and dogs. When I can again it will be the first thing I do.

Sad story.. my dog committed suicide by car while I was deployed and I’ve never actually come to terms with it. So, I’ll stick with my cat, who is too much of a wuss to leave the house.
