Do women lose respect for a guy or view him as weak if he cries in front of her?

I wouldn’t. In fact I really dislike the thought that men ‘shouldn’t’ cry. I feel that men should be able to experience emotions to the fullest-the good as well as the bad.

Not at all. Unless it’s crocodile tears.

No! I appreciate and respect a person's ability to be vulnerable with me.

6

Absolutely not! If a man can express himself emotionally, kudos and respect!

6

Of course not!

No, a man crying shows his feelings. Sharing our feelings with each other promotrs connection.

Why would i "lose respect" for someone obviously under extreme emotional duress? What a weird question?!

I sure haven't, though I must say it's only happened a few times.

No. I prefer people who don't squish their emotions to the point where they hold tears in.
It's terrible how we put this on men from childhood. Let your kids have their feels dammit.
If it's truly just for show that will become apparent at some point. Best to err on the side of caution.

Is it after sex?

😉

No, unfortunately there are moments in life where crying is necessary. We are only human.

No, not at all! Shows that he's a very sensitive person and in tune with his surrounding's! I could learn a lot from him!

I think it would just mean he feels comfortable enough with himself and her that he doesn't have to pretend not to care about what has saddened him to the point of tears. Everyone cries, men and women. There is no weakness in feeling human feelings.

I am very impressed by a man who can cry in front of a woman or anyone. My son in law cries with me at sad movies and I tell my daughter to be glad he is in her life. A man who can be emotional is, in my opinion, enlightened!

4

I don't.

Depends on why. I lose respect for females for the same reasons. Most tears in my experience has been manipulative. The person is laying a guilt trip on me to get me to do something I've already refused. Honest grief or anger are different.

I'm not really a crier when involved in a relationship, however, I have been known to cry while watching a good movie or whenever i hear the song "walk like an Egyptian " by the bangles...

It depends on the circumstances.

I met a new man for lunch. Afterward, took him for a walk along Riverfront Trail. I felt something was off. Led him under a tree. We sat down and I asked a few questions. It was like uncorking a flood.

He cried and moaned about his sad life.
Said he has been depressed for years.
Wanted me to make him feel happy.
Asked me to move in with him immediately.
He had no friends.
Wanted me to jump-start his exercise and hiking.

What an offer. I said no. It's not my job to rescue him.

I'd say it depends on the circumstances and the woman. There is no simple one size fits all answer to that.

No, crying is a cleansing of the soul sometimes. Why would women judge men for being a human being? I dislike that men often can’t show emotion or sensitivity, for fear placed on them by society. It’s toxic for mind and body.

Our society expects men to be strong and impenetrable, resulting in male heart attacks and broken relationships.

I feel honored and touched when a man shows his feelings and is vulnerable with me.

It depends on the situation.

After I broke up with him, Stephen burst into tears and sobbed for an hour in my living room. I calmly handed him a box of tissues and got out mending. I didn't want him driving over Stephens Pass in the dark until he calmed down.

I had just learned Stephen scammed 17 friends and investors out of over $694,000 of their life savings, depositing their funds into his personal account.

Thank goodness I found out. We only dated for a month.

"I'm going to win you back," Stephen vowed.

"I cannot trust you," I replied. "We are not a couple. You are a liar and a thief."

That is a weird question. That's like saying why does a woman cry for less than a minute and she's ok. Is that her way of admitting she's a drama queen, just saying and something to think about ?

Qiru Level 6 Aug 25, 2018

"Drama Queen"???!!! Because i dared ( oh heavens to betsey) to Feel something, just for a moment, and then immediately got a grip so i wouldn't inconvenience poor YOU? Too bad so sad......
Buddy, you ain't seen drama.........

@AnneWimsey maybe you have to much free time or you didn't get to ride the unicorn or something and that's why you had onion eyes. I also said something to think about
