The year I turned 6 , my parents bought a little house , " out in the country. " When the weather turned cold in the fall , the field mice moved into the house . We discovered someone had nailed the lid of a tin can over the mouse hole in the baseboard . It didn't stop the mice .

I've worked in a lot of homes and never seen a mouse hole in baseboard anything like that.
