LOL - I saw that earlier. He does not even remember he said it and his handlers at the day care will not show it to him.

Reagan made a comment about the importance of separating church and state. When this last election was held FFRF posted that message on a billboard. People thought it was fake news.

The meme is inaccurate, but he did say something similar. The sad thing is that the people who voted for this nitwit sonofabitch aren't the only ones who have to live with the result.

4

Since he didn't say this, no. The closest I can find is this, so he is still hoist by his own petard: "If there is a shutdown I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He’s the one that has to get people together."

@WizardBill Not on the link you just provided.

I don't know as I luckily enough haven't heard all the dumb shit that falls from his mouth

3

I don't know how "smart" it was, but it turns out that it was incredibly prescient.

3

Oh the hypocrisy... hahaha

3

My initial thought is to argue that 'smart' and 'Trump' are mutually exclusive terms. Instead I'll say that I'm happy when his own words can be thrown back at him

the downside is that his words can be thrown back at him sooooo often and so easily!

Now to be fair, though you have this in writing, in print and on video we still cannot be certain Trump said that or implied it, He will never be wrong even if he is.

wait

Somehow I have a big problem attaching smart with tRUmp. He has said a lot of things only to deny them later even thought they are out there in plain sight.

2

Trump says so much that something he says on an extremely rare occasion has to be correct. The vast majority of what he says is nothing more than egomaniacal crap.

2

Using Trump and smartest in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

“Moron” is the key word.

@SimplyMe With Trumps sniffing at the mike all the time I think he is taking Oxy
That would make an oxymoron

2

It may be the last thing he got correct.

2

He’s a “very stable genius,” you know. Ha!

Yep, he's a stable genius. Isn't that where you find a horse's ass?

2

True he said that about Obama.

2

I don't know if it is the smartest, but it is definitely the most accurate.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

1

At the time that Trump said that, the Democrats did not control Congress. Now the GOP controls both legislative houses and the Presidency. So what he said about Obama not controlling his own party is actually much more accurate about himself as a leader.

1

I have never heard him say anything smart

1

Your being to kind to Trump

1

OMG! I mostly agree with something Donald J Trump said.

1

It means also that shutdowns are a process that happens to presidents sometimes, that last one was it Obama?

0

The closest thing to saying anything smart is the sound he makes when he snores.

0

Yes above everything else he has said yes. Knowing him however he will deny ever having said those words because it sounds reasonable.

Trump is a brilliant man, those that don't agree are clearly not aware.

Its true - Trump is a brilliant builder and businessman, Americans should all be grateful that he is president.

Trump may be brilliant, but he is a disaster as a president. I believe that IF he is smart he is screwing over everyone in the US except for his rich cronies. Which makes him one of the most evil men to ever walk the face of the earth. And no, I will never be grateful to have that ugly bag of gas as president. He is dangerous to ordinary folks.

He is brilliantly enriching himself and his cronies at the expense of the rest of us.

@HippieChick58 - wow - im sad that your beliefs are so far from the truth - I thought hippie chicks were smart - at least the ones that ive met

@RoboGraham So you weren't aware that he was already a billionaire? All people are not motivated by money.

@gater I am aware that he is very wealthy. Not all people are motivated by money but billionaires tend to be. One does not become a billionaire if money is not a major motivator.

@gater why do I feel like I need another shower after reading your comments?

@HippieChick58 maybe because my comments enlighten you

@gater I'm sad that you resort to calling someone not smart rather than debating the actual facts. It's an ad hominem and most of us avoid such fallacies on this site. And for the record HippieChick58 is a smart person.

@RoboGraham She wrote that Trump was one of the most evil men to walk the earth - does that sound very factual? no - its opinion that makes her sound stupid. You go around making false statements as fact - then you lose all credibility.

@gater Taking from the poor and giving to the rich, grabbing women by the pussy without consent, pulling out of a climate agreement that the rest of the world supports... pretty evil stuff. She exaggerated but it still does not warrant calling her stupid. No one is calling you names for what you believe.

@RoboGraham taking from the poor and giving to the rich? - false.
Grabbing women? - false.
Withdrew from a unfair agreement - true
Trump is about putting America 1st - don't you get that?

@gater Taking from the poor and giving to the rich- Trump has removed federal subsidies to help poor people pay for health insurance. He is actively trying to undermine the ACA which helps sooo many poor people. He is allowing states to force poor people to work in order to receive Medicaid. Trump and republicans are now taking aim at food supplement programs. On the other hand, Trump recently signed a tax reform bill that grants large tax cuts to wealthy people and corporations and only minor cuts for middle and lower class people and those minor cuts only last for 8 years while the cuts for the rich are indefinite. This will also add massively to the national deficit.

Grabbing pussy- This came from his own mouth. Do you not trust what he says? And Trump has been accused of sexual misconduct by 20 women but the republican congress refuses to investigate.

Paris Agreement- Is it fair for us to put ourselves first, pollute as much as we please with no regard for the rest of the world while literally every other county has agreed to put limits on their carbon emissions? Climate change is a global problem which affects all and will take global participation to stop. If the worlds largest economy arrogantly decides to pull out, the entire world suffers. How can we call ourselves global leaders if we are the rogue nation refusing to do whats right?

@RoboGraham I can see this is futile - we'll just have to agree to disagree

@gater That's what people say when they know they have lost the debate. Thank you for not resorting to name calling in your concession.

@RoboGraham lol - ok these 20 women - who are they? did they file police reports? Are you aware that rich people are falsely accused because of their deep pockets? Or do you naively believe them?

@RoboGraham And you are uneducated about the economy and taxes. Trump has a plan to fix this country, lower tax, cutting regulations, and fair trade deals. Record highs in the stock market - record low unemployment. When Trump is done the deficit will be gone.
Do some research - then I want your concession!

@gater What happened to agree to disagree? You get your second wind?

Trump is currently taking credit for Obama's sound fiscal policies. The consequences of his trickle down economics will not be felt until next year at the earliest. If the deficit is gone when Trump leaves office you will have my concession. How can that occur when the wealthiest people will be paying less in taxes? Unless massive cuts are made to programs that desperate people depend on.

The way I see it, Trump has no plan to fix America. As I said when this discussion began, he is using his power to enrich himself, his family and others like him. Too many people are gullibly taking his word for it to the detriment of all of us. Did you believe him when he said Mexico will pay for the wall? Do you still believe it?

@gater Even if every single one of those women are false accusers, have you not heard him brag about his pussy grabbing and walking in on Miss America Pageant contestants while they were naked in the dressing room? These are things that he said casually while being recorded. I find it very hard to believe that there is no misconduct from a man accused by so many and who is so entitled, arrogant, and chauvinistic as he is. And on top of all of that, he paid a porn star to keep quiet about an affair. Yes he is a really admirable family values type of guy.

You apparently don't know the difference between rumor and fact. Like I said - do some research - then I want your concession!

@gater. It’s important to read up on the researched estimated rate of false accusations. ...Also, don’t forget 45 started out with “a small loan of a million dollars” from his father. That’s quite a boost.
