It is currently almost 2:30 AM. I was awoken by a phone call from my ex husband that I did not answer. He left me a voicemail asking if I could come to jump start his truck because the battery is dead. He wants me to wake up my kids at 2:30 in the morning, drive to a town 20 miles away to jump start his truck so he can get home. His insurance has roadside assistance but according to his voicemail, they didn't answer the phone. So I'm the obvious next choice? He drives me so insane.

New phone number(s), make him communicate by text only, your life will be so much more peaceful! I think maybe counseling for your self-esteem too.....

Good for you for not answering.

When you help people when they really need help, they'll remember you the next time they really need help.

yea... Nope. I'd go right back to sleep. If he had the kids, I could see the urgency. But he didn't... so... nope.

@Iam4MY ha! indeed. I got the 5 am call today because her mom forgot I have labor day off. I slept right through it.

Don't rescue him. Of course insurance companies have 24-hour roadside assistance.

Obviously, he was too impatient, stupid (or drunk) to listen and go through the options ("Press 1 for English" ) on their answering machine.
