We are going to put our dog of 13 down one day soon. She is diabetic, blind, and has a hard time walking. I feel like the grime reaper. Sometimes love makes living so hard.

I'm so sorry. That is the heartbreak of loving pets so much. They just don't live long enough.

This is one of our responsibilities of owning a pet. We must not let them suffer. He was well loved all his life. Take solace in that.

From long experience, after you do her the kindness, you will realize you waited too long because you so much dreaded the loss. Best wishes to you both!

We treat our pets better than humans because we end their suffering while humans offen suffer terribly before they finally die. Putting your dog down is the humane thing to do.
