Today i found out in the morning that one of my online friends had passed away over night Sunday. Im very saddened by this. I Never had a chance to meet her, she was a great friend . Am wondering if anyone here has had a similar type loss. We talked on meeting several times but the opportunity just didn't come around. She always told me she loved talking to me and also missed talking to me when we did not talk for awhile

Yes, it’s happened twice to me. It’s amazing the connection you can build with an online friendship. It’s definitely a feeling of shock, loss and grief, but perhaps not the panic stricken, long term grief that you feel with real world friendships or family.
There is one woman I still leave posts for. She was amazing, and a real activist for literary and young people. You won’t forget them, you might cry and miss them, especially if you spoke daily and gave each other joy. it’s beautiful that we can have connections like that. Online friends really can change your world and even our minds.
I like this. I read it at my mum’s funeral. I find it humanist, as we all go back to nature in some way. I think your friend may have liked it:

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
